Karen L. Smith

Karen Smith currently serves as VP/Quality Assurance in JPMorgan Chase Credit Card Services and currently leads a team responsible for the verification and validation of a variety of technology and business solutions. In this capacity Ms. Smith is responsible for the design and implementation of a quality assurance strategy and the leadership of matrix test team(s) responsible for assuring the accuracy of the defined technology solution.

Ms. Smith's 20 years of experience within the field of IT Development and Quality Assurance crosses multiple industries including Anti-Submarine Warfare, Medical Imaging, Legal Accounting, Mutual Fund Banking and most recently the Credit Card Services. She has been responsible for the development and implementation of Quality Assurance methodologies and processes that address quality objectives across all levels of the development life cycle.

Since 2006, Ms. Smith has served as a JPMorgan Chase Corporate liaison with the Black Data Processing Association (BDPA) - a premier career and leadership network for Black IT professionals. She is the founder and president of the BDPA Northern Delaware chapter, chartered in November 2007.

Ms. Smith has a MS in Organizational Leadership from Wilmington College, as well as a BS in Computer Science & Management from California University of Pennsylvania.
